About Our School

Founded in 1995, Sola Fide, which is Latin for “by faith alone,” is a private elementary Christian school. Parents send their children here with the knowledge they are in a safe environment where teachers know their child, their needs and how to encourage them.  At Sola Fide students from age two through eighth grade prepare for tomorrow with challenging courses that are enriched with Christian teachings and morals. At Sola Fide, our small class sizes enable us to truly know our students and help them develop their God-given abilities. Because of our flexible, multi-grade classrooms, we are able to place students into groups of their peers based on ability and talent rather than solely on age.  And most of all, we are able to provide our students with the truth of God’s Word, the one thing that won’t change no matter how far we look into the future!

Sola Fide is also a part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). WELS churches operate over 300 elementary schools and nearly 400 preschools. According to the U.S. Department of Education, WELS teachers and principals spend more time in classroom instruction and in school-related student activities than any other school group in the United States. More student-teacher contact leads to more learning and higher achievement. This rich heritage of education in Lutheran schools is a big part of what makes Sola Fide a great school.

Our Curriculum

Christ comes first in our daily activities through Word of God classes, devotions, and prayers.  All core subjects are taught in multi-grade classes, enabling students to be challenged academically and develop individually. We use nationally recognized publishers and standardized tests and are accredited by the National Private Schools Accreditation Alliance. We maintain high academic standards and small class sizes. We are also part of the second largest private school system in the United States (WELS)

Our Staff

We have an experienced and extremely dedicated group of certified teachers, administrators, and parent volunteers. Each teacher strives to create a supportive and challenging atmosphere to encourage students to be their best using their God-given talents. We prepare our students for success as they advance from grade to grade, here and as they transition to the next level. Beyond academics, our teachers daily reinforce the importance of knowing God’s Word, strong values, and a caring heart.

Beyond the Classroom

Learning isn’t limited to the classroom. Sola Fide’s students experience the world around them firsthand through their participation in community events, field trips and multi-day experiential learning activities.  These help students better relate classroom learning to their place in God’s creation.

Preschool

A safe learning environment, dedicated Christian teachers from the congregation, and lessons and activities which never lose sight of Jesus are all parts of our preschool program. Preschool classes are offered for young children ages 2-5. The Little Lambs classes meet two or three times per week; the Pre-Kindergarten class meets five days per week. Kindergarten readiness is an important part of our program, and we are always pleased when students make the transition into our Kindergarten and Elementary School.
