Worship Webcast Troubleshooting
We’re sorry you’re having trouble viewing our worship webcast. Hopefully this page will help you get to the bottom of the problem causing your particular issue.
The video is choppy. What can I do?
Our video is hosted by Vimeo, a third party video hosting service. They provide an Adobe Flash powered video player. Flash can take a fair amount of resources, and Flash video is designed for relatively new computers. If your computer is having trouble playing the video smoothly, try one of the following remedies.
- Pause the video and allow the entire file to download so that the gray bar is full. Then click play. This sometimes allows smoother playback.
- Close other programs you may be running on your computer. They may be taking up processor power and slowing the video down.
- Update your Flash player to the latest version. You can do so by visiting http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
- Click the HD toggle button on the video player. Switching HD off can make the video play better on older computers.
The video takes forever to download. What can I do?
Due to the large size of HD video, a broadband connection is required. If you are using a dial-up or slow DSL line, either allow the video to load all the way or switch HD off. Non-HD video is smaller in size and can download more quickly.
